Nursing Home

May Cravath Wharton Nursing Home is a 62 bed, level I, intermediate care facility which provides short and long-term care in a home-like atmosphere. Wharton Nursing Home is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Medicaid provider, and it consistently ranks among the highest in regular inspections.
A staff physician makes biweekly rounds and is on call. Nurses, RN’s and LPN’s, provide complete 24 hour care. Residents (both from Uplands and the wider community) are treated as individuals and receive personalized attention. Wharton is well known in this area for the superior quality of its services.
Friends from the retirement village regularly visit the residents and greatly reduce the isolation that can sometimes be felt by nursing home residents. The nearly universal suffering from loneliness, helplessness, and boredom found in most nursing homes is a motivating factor behind our plans for new long-term care homes. We encourage you to find out more about those plans under the Visions!
Wharton Nursing Home serves both the members of Uplands and the general public. No Membership Fees, Residential Unit Fees, or Annual Services Fees are charged for residency in the nursing home.
