Uplands Retirement Village is located in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee, which is less than two hours from Knoxville, Nashville, and Chattanooga. Commercial shuttle service is available door to door from Pleasant Hill to area airports.
Pleasant Hill is ten miles west of Crossville, the seat of Cumberland County, with good shopping and a comprehensive medical center, including a 182 bed hospital. Thirty miles to the northwest is Cookeville, home to Tennessee Technological University. Cookeville boasts shopping malls, a symphony, and public libraries with a great diversity of offerings and programs.
The Cumberland County area has many resort features including numerous golf courses, mountain cabins, and a state park with an olympic-size pool. Uplands itself has two lakes amidst 500 plus acres of mountain land at nearly 2,000 feet of elevation.
