Text Box: Over and over again, we are told that the only real way to understand Uplands Retirement Village is to visit and meet the people who call this community home. So, while we can tell you that Uplands is a non-gated, non-profit community that is resident directed, a rural village of 500 plus acres within easy driving to major symphonies, theatre, museums, restaurants, festivals, and more, and a progressive continuum of care with formal and informal systems to support your retirement choices, it is more important that you come to visit and experience Uplands for yourself. We invite you to make reservations at one of our apartments and come as our guests for a night to get to know this community and the people who call Uplands home. Uplands has been particularly attractive to people from all walks of life who have served the wider church and the world as doctors, nurses, teachers, ministers, missionaries, and volunteers. They bring a diversity of experience, an insatiable curiosity, and an unfaltering commitment to social justice. It was one of our newer residents who coined the phrase that so describes Uplands: Not just a place to live, but a way of living.
